Model fit guides

Model guides: 11. Size labels and measured foot length are different quantities. A chart does not establish the fit of every model.

• Adidas NMD_R1

Adidas recommends the usual size for NMD_R1. The sock-like upper can feel close around the foot even when the length label is appropriate; this does not establish that the model runs short. Use the official chart, then check pressure around the instep and the exact upper construction. The NMD_R1 is presented here as a casual sneaker, not a performance running shoe.

• Adidas Stan Smith

Adidas describes adult Stan Smith sizing as true to the usual size. Its sizing guide distinguishes upper materials, so a familiar size is a starting point rather than proof that every edition feels identical. Use the men’s or women’s US column of the unisex chart and check the product’s own guidance. This is a lifestyle sneaker, not a running-shoe recommendation.

• Adidas Ultraboost 1.0

The official Ultraboost 1.0 pages disagree by product code: JQ0826 advises half a size up, while JR1986 advises the usual size. Check the code on the pair you intend to buy before applying either suggestion. The shared Adidas chart supplies label correspondences; it cannot resolve this product-specific difference. These notes cover 1.0, not every Ultraboost generation.

• Brooks Ghost 18

The US men's Ghost 18 page lists Narrow (1B), Medium (1D), Wide (2E) and Extra Wide (4E). These are published width options; colour and size availability must be checked on the product page. The Brooks men's chart supplies size-label references, not measured foot length. No model-wide size correction or wearer consensus has been established here. This review covers Ghost 18 family 110493, not Ghost Max or earlier Ghost versions.

• Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Canvas

For the A15958F canvas low top, Converse advises half a size below your usual size because this style runs large. Use the Chuck Taylor All Star / Chuck 70 chart below; this advice does not cover every Converse model. The chart has separate US men’s and women’s labels. At 245 mm it publishes two rows, so the measurement alone does not select one unique size.

• New Balance 574 Core

For men’s 574 Core ML574EVB, New Balance says the model runs small and suggests considering a larger size, without specifying a universal half-size adjustment. The page lists D, 2E and 4E width options and a suede/mesh upper. Check the exact width before increasing length. The table below is the brand’s label chart; it is not a physical measurement of the 574 interior.

• New Balance Made in USA 990v6

New Balance describes men’s M990NV6 as fitting as expected for most people. The reviewed page lists widths 2A, B, D, 2E, 4E and 6E; that is a product option list, not a stock guarantee for every size or colour. Choose width separately from length. This note covers the men’s product and must not be transferred to the women’s 990v6 without checking its own guidance.

• Nike Air Force 1

Nike advises starting half a size below your usual Nike size for the Air Force 1. Its guide allows the usual size for wider feet and distinguishes upper materials and editions. Start with the Nike chart below, then check the exact product and width. Do not subtract another half size automatically from a foot-length chart result: these are two different reference methods.

• Salomon Speedcross 6 Wide

This record covers men’s Speedcross 6 Wide L41744000, a trail-running model with a wider upper. Salomon identifies the US wide fit as EE. It does not justify a blanket size-up or size-down rule, and these notes do not describe the standard-width Speedcross or another generation. Use the men’s foot-length chart with your intended socks, then verify width and heel hold on the actual pair.

• Salomon XT-6

The current XT-6 L41252900 page presents a unisex sneaker in Salomon’s Sportstyle range. Its trail heritage is not evidence that this edition should be recommended as a current performance running shoe. Quicklace adjusts the closure but does not establish a size offset. The chart below uses Salomon’s men’s scale; confirm the men’s/women’s label pair shown on the exact product.

• Vans Old Skool

The reviewed Old Skool VN000E9TY28 is a suede/canvas lifestyle low top with a padded collar and lace closure. These construction details do not establish a measured size correction. Use the published Vans label chart and check heel hold and forefoot pressure on the actual pair. Do not transfer the fit of this edition automatically to platforms, Skate variants or another upper material.
